The Reno Fashion Show Celebrates 20 Years of Artown 

RENO, NV One of Artown’s most popular events, The Reno Fashion Show, is poised and ready to rock the catwalk off on Saturday, July 18 at 7 p.m. in Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s Grand Ballroom.

Local and international men’s and women’s designers will be sending their clothes down the runway and guests will enjoy a special guest performance during the show by Naima Mora, a best-selling author, recording artist, and winner of America’s Next Top Model season 4.

Two local models and designers are creating a stir in the fashion industry, and both will be present at the event.

Reno local Cailean Sterling, a 17-year old who has been in the show every year, will return to the catwalk after having a brain tumor removed last year. Cailean had to learn how to walk again, and her designer has pledged that the proceeds from her dress will be donated to brain cancer research.

Sophi Lee, a 16-year old from Reno will also be making her debut at The Reno Fashion Show. Sophi is the face behind the brand SophiMoya, a collection of junior’s dresses. The Reno Fashion Show coordinator, Brian Aranda says, “Her designs, quality, and talent is exceptional for such a young age. It’s some of the best work I’ve personally seen.”

Tickets to The Reno Fashion Show for Artown 2015 are $25 and are available at, or $30 at the door.
