Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Hosts Media Night for Charity

Aug 07, 2013

RENO, NV. — Atlantis Casino Resort Spa hosted a media event at the opening of Hot August Nights in the name of charity.

Media representatives competed in the Coke® Pit Crew Challenge which featured a NASCAR. The media representatives raced against time to “change out” a stock car tire, simulating a pit crew.

Two winners prevailed. Sarah Johns, KOLO 8 news anchor and Conor Flanagan, Host of the Shut Up & Rock Morning Show on 92.9 The Bandit had the best scores.

$250 each will be donated to their charities. Johns participated on behalf of the Kerak Shrine Temple of Reno, helping to provide free medical care for local children at the Shriner’s Hospital in Sacramento. Flanagan participated on behalf of SPCA of Northern Nevada, an innovative regional leader in responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats, primarily through their rescue and placement in forever loving homes and by promoting spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation.
