See spectacular chalk art come to life!

Saturday & Sunday, July 8 & 9 • 2017

Watch in awe as pastel chalk paintings come to life at an Artown event, the 2nd Annual Reno Chalk Art Festival presented by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. Using pavement for canvas, juried artists—amateur and professional—will descend upon the Biggest Little City on July 8th and 9th to make their mark by transforming parking spaces into works of art at this new signature event. Invited professional chalk artists known as Madonnari will also create spectacular masterpieces.

Stroll through the West Lot of Atlantis for two fun-filled days enjoying whimsical chalk art, bites from local food trucks, live entertainment, artisan crafters and more. The competition runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on July 8th and 9th. The top chalk artists will be recognized at 5 p.m. on July 9. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Best reproduction of a Master’s Work, Best Use of Color, Best 3D and Artists’ Choice Award. A special hotel rate will be available for out-of-town artists.
