The MDTP is an accelerated path to a leadership role in management. Exceptional applicants with the right mix of education and experience are encouraged to apply.
Our two year leadership trainee program is focused on ensuring qualified participants receive professional development from the start, and that they receive the tools and training needed to propel their career forward.
As a member of the MDTP, participants will train and perform in various key job functions. In the second year of the program, participants will gain additional leadership and management skills. As part of the program, participants will rotate between a number of departments, gaining valuable industry knowledge. The departmental rotations include:
Food & Beverage
Upon successful completion in each departmental rotation, including required training and satisfactory performance ratings, the participant will then be transferred into a management position in alignment with their skill set and current job openings at all Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. (MCRI) properties:Atlantis Casino Resort Spa (Reno, Nevada); Monarch Casino Black Hawk (Black Hawk, Colorado).
Requirements to Apply for the MDT Program:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University with GPA of 3.00 or higher in any area of study
Willingness to relocate to any MCRI property (currently this includes Reno, NV and Black Hawk, CO) after satisfactory completion A written essay (minimum one page) sharing why you would like to be considered

The ideal candidate will have recently graduated from an accredited University/College with minimum one year job experience, or internship experience.
Applicants who have graduated from a University/College with little or no job experience are also eligible to apply.

Must be in current position for minimum six months and in good standing
Bachelor’s Degree required
Will need “Sponsorship” letter (Internal Sponsorship Form) from Director or above

In order to graduate from the MDT Program, participants must:
Successfully complete all trainee rotational modules
Successfully pass all rotational competencies and interviews with management/executive teams
*Please note: Completion of the MDT Program does not guarantee a full-time or permanent positon. All participants must be willing to relocate to other locations.
