Atlantis partners with Nevada Cancer Coalition to Paint Nevada Pink 

 Month-long opportunities at Atlantis to support non-profit’s statewide campaign

Reno, NV – Atlantis Casino Resort Spa has proudly taken the pledge to Paint Nevada Pink in conjunction with Nevada Cancer Coalition. Paint Nevada Pink is a statewide campaign that was created by Nevada Cancer Coalition to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening. The campaign coincides with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“For more than three decades we’ve connected the pink ribbon with breast cancer, and in Nevada we’re taking it one step further to link pink with a pledge to get screened,” said Cari Herington, executive director of Nevada Cancer Coalition. “If we can get every woman to talk to her healthcare provider about getting screened for breast cancer and encourage annual mammograms starting at age 40 for women at average risk, we can reduce deaths from breast cancer, as well as the suffering of families who lose a loved one.”

Nevada Cancer Coalition is encouraging Nevadans to take the pledge either to get screened with a mammogram in the next 12 months or remind a loved one to do so.

Atlantis kicked off its participation in Paint Nevada Pink by lighting the property’s fountains pink Saturday, October 2. Messaging on the Atlantis video marquee will also be promoting breast cancer screening throughout the month of October.
