Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is pleased to announce that Executive Vice President and General Manager, Darlyne Sullivan was presented with the ‘2010 Great Women of Gaming Proven Leader Award’ from Casino Enterprise Management (CEM) magazine, the leading gaming industry trade publication and training event producer, and the "Official Publication" of the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM). 11 Female Gaming Industry Executives, across the nation, were honored for outstanding professionalism, perseverance, drive, commitment and mentorship in gaming for 2010.
"Over the course of her career, Darlyne has directly contributed to the success of the Atlantis," said John Farahi, CEO for Atlantis. "Darlyne has dedicated herself to making Atlantis one of the premier gaming properties in the United States."
Darlyne and 4 other women were awarded with a "2010 Great Women of Gaming Proven Leader Award". According to CEM, the Great Women of Gaming Awards were selected by the judges, based on two categories: Proven Leaders and Rising Stars. To qualify as a Proven Leader, candidates must have worked in the gaming industry for a minimum of 10 years. They must also work for a gaming industry company and hold a position of director or higher, having demonstrated exceptional achievement in at least three of the following areas: 1) ability to go above and beyond job responsibilities; 2) commitment to company and co-workers; 3) contributions to the industry as a whole; 4) commitment to mentoring; and 5) strong overall life balance.
